About Natalie

I am the founder of N JAY DISABILITY CONSULTANT, a registered NDIS provider supporting children, young people, and families through practical, respectful, family-centred services.

Before starting this service, I worked for over 30 years as a Special Needs Teacher with the NSW Department of Education, and I am a Registered Proficient Teacher. My experience includes supporting children and young people across a wide range of learning, disability, behaviour, participation, and transition needs.

Over the years, I have worked closely with families, schools, early learning settings, and other professionals. I understand that families often need more than just a service — they need someone who can help them make sense of what is happening, what their child or young person needs, and what the next steps might be.

My work brings together: deep classroom experience, strong knowledge of child development and learning, practical family support, and a real understanding of school participation, transition planning, and everyday support needs.

Many providers understand disability support and developmental needs. Many teachers understand classrooms and schools. Fewer people bring both worlds together. That is one of the key strengths of this service.

My approach is warm, respectful, and family-centred.

I believe support should feel practical and realistic. It should fit into the person's daily life, family routines, educational setting, and real-world needs — not just sound good on paper.

I aim to work alongside families in a way that feels calm, supportive, and useful. Every child, young person, and family is different, and support should reflect that.
